Patricia Carlin believes that a small sketch has the power to tell a story without language. She started out as an art director in Philadelphia, selling everything from potato chips to financial products. In 2001, a friend wanted help launching a glassware business, so Patricia designed and wrote copy for several products for the new venture. Patricia has explored many techniques in her illustration, but simple line drawing appeals to her most. "For me, paring things down to their simplest essence is always the best way to understand them," she says.

Very cute and recipient loved it!
The personalized beach family art turned out just as it looked in the sample print and my wife loved it. Would definitely recommend. The only thing that could have made it better is if there were more options for the add-ons and if there was some ability to make the height of the kids different sizes - otherwise your 4 year old could end up looking the same size or bigger than your 12 year old. Overall great product!

We gifted this custom portrait to my parents after our family beach vacation was cancelled due to my mom's health issues. Unfortunately no additional customization or special requests can be made, however here is one option. You can split up the figures into two groups (12 figures each) in unframed art works and have it custom framed.

What kind of paper is used and what medium for the art (watercolor, marker, etc.)? Is it actually done by hand or printed? What are the dimensions of the finished product if there are 8 characters and no frame? How long does it take to get it from the time ordered? Thank you!

The artwork is printed on Epson enhanced matte paper. 8-14 figures unframed is a 8"x28" print. This is a made-to-order item. You will receive a proof within 1-2 business days. You will be provided with a ship date for the final item after approving the proof. This item typically ships 1 week after proof approval.

Can the family name be 2 names with hyphen in middle-for 2 families? Can anything be added? For instance since this beach vacation one member passed away. Is it possible to add a halo above one member's head? Thanks!

The family name can be hyphenated. Unfortunately, the template for this artwork does not include a halo and the artist cannot add any additional customization at this time.
