Chime and Dine

Wine and dine in perfect time! Get your next dinner party humming when you turn your sips into a symphony with these glasses-turned-musical-instruments. The etchings on the glasses are musical notations that correspond to the level of the liquid--when the user drinks to D for example, he or she may run a finger along the rim of the glass to create its lush, sonorous note. Or, for the more percussive partier, the same note will ring out with a gentle rap of his or her utensil on the side of the glass. From rounds of "Row, row, row your boat" to more ambitious orchestrations, you're sure to strike a chord with the guests at your next soiree with this set of glasses that covers a full 12-note octave from A flat to G. Made in Austria from lead-free crystal.

Dishwasher safe.

A delightful glass of Chardonnay? That's music to our ears! Do you know a wine enthusiast who would love to make melodies with this stunning stemware?

Sounds like fun. Our family plays the whistles in the Christmas crackers so why not the wine glasses!

This is Ingenious! I've never seen anything like this before. What a great idea for a party as well.

I actually like the idea. I give a thumbs down for the set number. I think two for 45 dollars is not a good price. Also, in order to really make any significant music you will need upwards of 6 glasses at least. Maybe a larger set with a reasonable price.

This is an awesome idea, but for $45 there should be 4 glasses. Besides, nobody can play a song with just 2 glasses!

great gift item! I can think of at least 2 or 3 friends I would buy this for!

for the hostess who has everything but musical wine glasses. would be for someone who serves wine at their dinner parties.

The high price is the turn off and they are not even crystal! I'm wondering why it took two countries to make them? Austria made the glases and Portual engraved them? Maybe that's why the price is too high?

VERY cool! Will be a great gift for the music-loving wine-enthusiasts in my life!

Anne K

I already can make music with my wine glasses

Karen

Witty and classy... but too spendy for only 2 glasses. Need a cheaper price or more glasses before it hits my shopping cart.

Soooo creative. Another fantastic gift idea.

Great idea, I only wish they were manufactured in the USA.

I agree with Margaret that a larger set for a more reasonable price would be great. It is a very novel idea and will probably sell.

CMT

would definitely buy for lower price

Lauren
Vote: Thumbs down!

I would buy if there were more in the set to actually be able to use effectively.

only 2 glasses for $45 is super pricey. Especially given the concept. Sure if you want to play 2 notes alone (or 2, the another 2 after you drink some of it) that would be great. But if you ever want to actually play anything (even something as simple as "row, row, row your boat" you're going to need 4 more glasses.

Cute idea, but way too expensive

Anyone with a knowledge of music...or a friend with knowledge of music...can do this on their own A LOT cheaper than $45!

Sharon
Vote: Thumbs up!

Love the idea but the price seems out of touch.

Sharon
Vote: Thumbs up!

Love the idea - but the price is off-key

Katie

I know musicians that would love these.

Elecia

I agree with many others that for this price it should be a set of 4. It is just weird to sell in pairs anyway...

Elisa
Vote: Thumbs up!

Love it. Have "played" wine glass music before and always had to "tune' by ear. This is great and I'd definitely buy this product!

Great for that quirky gift, we all know a nerd or two.

Clara

What an awesome and original idea! Great for parties.

Jennifer

A little too expensive in my opinion, but a great idea.

Kate
Vote: Thumbs down!

Bet you there's someone somewhere in the USA that can make a wine glass AND engrave it to make those obnoxious notes...just saying.

Angela
Vote: Thumbs down!

too pricey for only 2 glasses.

Kip
Vote: Thumbs down!

Cool but you'd have to pay way too much money just to get one octave worth of notes.

Stephanie
Vote: Thumbs up!

The price seems unrealistic for the state of the economy. How many people are going to spend $45 on 2 wine glasses that aren't beautiful or a unique shape?

Emma
Vote: Thumbs down!

GREAT idea. I am SO buying these if the price goes down.

noelle
Vote: Thumbs up!

I remember doing this in school... Obviously not with wine glasses.. but this would be so neat to own!

Kelly
Vote: Thumbs up!

Love the idea....but should be a larger set for real musical fun...and then the price would also seem reasonable

Lindsey
Vote: Thumbs up!

The price is a little high, but the idea is fun!

Theresa

LOVE IT....but cost too much!
