Patricia Carlin believes that a small sketch has the power to tell a story without language. She started out as an art director in Philadelphia, selling everything from potato chips to financial products. In 2001, a friend wanted help launching a glassware business, so Patricia designed and wrote copy for several products for the new venture. Patricia has explored many techniques in her illustration, but simple line drawing appeals to her most. "For me, paring things down to their simplest essence is always the best way to understand them," she says.

Lovely piece but unsatisfactory ordering
The delivered product is exactly as shown which is always great. But we received a second order that was someone else's and rather than just send me a new shipping label so I could forward on the order, I was told to trash it or give it away which I thought was so wasteful. Gave the frame away to a neighbor. Uncommon should have done better and I received an email acknowledging that they should have but the artwork was still wasted.

The customized print has become my standard gift.
The first purchase was for my granddaughter as a Christmas gift for she and her finance. It was the "hit" of the Christmas Eve celebration. Based on their response to receiving the print, I have made it my standard gift for bridal showers and weddings. I can't tell you the overwhelming sentiments of each couple I have given the Intersection of Love print. Additionally, the quality of the print and the framing are excellent. The packaging for shipment has been such that I have not had any issues of damage. The most difficult part of the purchase is to pick the backgroung color. LOL

You can add the year in the Year 1 field, Year 2 is optional and can be left blank.

Hello! The unframed print is 14" H x 11" W. You could absolutely select any framing material for any occasion! The frame itself is not labeled with a date or any special messages - only the print is customizable.

I like the concept, but for a couple getting married, what is correct? The date they met and then the year they married? Also whose name should go on top , do you think? The maiden name and then the grooms name ? Or vice versa?

You only have to select one date. The second is optional. It is entirely up to you how you list the names and whether you do one or two years! There is no one correct way.

Does the framed piece come with hanging hardware such as a wire or other type of hanging implement already installed on the back of the frame, and if so, please specify what kind so that I can know ahead of time what type of picture hook will be needed to hang this on the wall. Many thanks!

The answer to one of the questions said the frame is made of Bonanzawood. What is bonanzawood? Is it a natural product or man made/synthetic. Is ithe frame a gloss or more of a semigloss or matte finish?

Great question! The frame is made with a high quality composite material, Bonanza Wood, which comes from a renewable source. Bonanza Wood has an extremely consistent finish, equal-to or better than most stained wood finishes.
