Baskets are so interweaved with the scenic image of a picnic that without one, it would simply be "eating outdoors." The classic, wicker basket of yesteryear gets a style update and functionality boost in this multi-use basket from Danish design firm New Norm.

Adaptable for just about any excursion, this basket includes small cooling elements to keep your food fresh, and two plastic, bento-style containers whose airtight, wooden lids can be used as plates or a cutting board in the field. Should the weather or those seasonal allergies keep your feasting indoors, the multi-basket is the perfect way to make your potluck portable: pack it up, and just swing the handle down to transform this basket into an attractive serving tray.

A great and unconventional gift for any newly-wed or newly-moved friend, the multi-basket is both a wonderful addition to any serving set, and a reminder to go out and enjoy life. With its myriad of uses, you can definitely put all your eggs in this basket—devilled or otherwise. Made in China.

Picnic season is finally here and we think this modern Multi Basket is perfect for days at the beach, afternoons in the park, and even patio party potlucks. Does it have your vote?

This is super adorable. Great idea, and seems to be quite functional, too.

I cannot support items made in China.

I actually like the design, but voted thumbs down because I'd never use it indoors and if using it outdoors, there doesn't seem to be any room for utensils and other things, so you would have to double up on what you carry rather than making something simpler.

Cute. reminds me of a sardine can for some reason. The only thing I don't like is that there isn't a cover for the third portion or an overall cover for the entire thing. Looks like it could be a bit deeper as well.

The only problems I have besides the fact that it prob. should be a little deeper, if that there is not a lid for the entire basket if you would choose to use one.

Cute! And I could still use my red and white table cloth to cover it!

It seems too small to use for anything realistic

If using as a picnic basket or even inside would want deeper basket to hold utensils and other goods. Cute look though. e

I probably wouldn't use this for a picnic but for a serving item or organizing stuff around the house.

Seems cute and all but too small to be really useless. Plus, I'm sure I can find something more practical and useless for a lot less than whatever this item's cost is,

What a fun basket to use anytime. Lunch at the beach, picnic or just bringing goodies to a friend. Sleek and fun for anyone.

I like Danish styling, however, I don't think it would be really functional as a picnic basket. I suspect the pricing will be high and yet the product is made in China. I prefer to support products made in America by American craft makers and artists. We have very talented people and it's time we start using them.

It is the kind of item I would buy and never use

I think it should be deeper and offered in different colors. It is cute though.

If used indoors, it's just another catch-all...If used outrdoora, it's not big enough/tall enough to really be helpful. Made in China? NO!

like the bento boxes, but the basket does not seem deep enough. plus, no lid. looks like things would topple out of it.

I love the look and the idea but ... I do not buy food containers made in China. Try a USA source

Like the Danish design but made in China? Can we get a little better at sourcing uncommon goods?

The sides aren't high enough to make it practical.

I like the concept and design, just not the execution. Like other reviewers have mentioned, it's aesthetically pleasing but doesn't seem sized to be practical for outdoor / transport applications.

Made in China? PLEEEESE why can't it be made anywhere else but China?

North America will lose their craft-makers if we continue to buy products from China. The idea is very cute. I read a number of reviews who all said it should be bigger. The appeal for me is that it is small. North Americans eat too much. This is the perfect size for 2
