As always uncommongoods.com has stuff I never see anywhere else! That is why I keep coming back after 10 years!
We use it to teach our 3 yr old daughter. She loves it & picked up on doing the puzzle in a snap. It could have been more detailed or in more pieces like individual parts like heart, lungs etc could have been seperated. That could have been more puzzle like.
This is a great way to talk to you kids about the body without it being too formal or not real enough. This puzzle is adorable yet also educational. The first time I showed it to her, we took it apart and put it back together 10 times. She was asked me a zillion questions and I think it was the first day she realized she wasn't hollow!
i am a nurse with a toddler at home and I love being able to explain her body to her using illustration.....so awesome!
I bought the girl version of this puzzle for my three year old neice and she absolutely loved it. In fact, she loved it so much that I got her the boy version a few months later. Probably the best gift I have given her yet.
This is a great learning device for young children. However, my 2.5 year old is a *little* too young for it still--he's a little creeped out by the muscle layer. Otherwise, a fun, educational puzzle.
The little three year old girl LOVED this gift, and her five year old brother wants a boy one. I never actually saw it, but the mom posted photos of it on her web page...several versions. It was a big hit...I was proud we found such an interesting present.

entertaining and holds interest time and agin
I got this for my barely two year old. He won't understand all of the concepts, but we enjoy puzzles and learning about body parts. As he gets older, we'll learn more from it, focusing on the muscular system, the organs, and the skeletal system. This is a great toy that pediatricians should consider for their offices.... it is that good.
Great educational tool for small children! Well made, seems durable.
