Cindy Saadeh is an award winning professional oil painter and gallery owner where she holds monthly events. She holds a BA from UNC Chapel Hill and studied painting in Montpellier, France by apprenticing under a self-taught painter in the Old Master technique. Her paintings are in public and private collections nationally and internationally. As an artist I’m inspired by the light and beauty in our world. It’s a constant challenge not just to replicate but to interpret and give the audience something interesting to view. Having a need to serve wine to her guests at her events, she tried and liked box wine except for the cardboard packaging. She took the idea to artist Michael Ripper to design a solution. Michael is an award winning professional woodworker who has a BFA in Wood Design and Ceramics from East Carolina University. Inspired by the lines, textures and colors of nature, MIchael creates functional art from sustainable and reclaimed wood and steel. He specializes in custom furniture, cutting boards, mirrors, and longboard skateboards. I have always loved to design and build things. I was drawing house floor plans and designing science fiction laser guns at the age of 7. I feel blessed beyond words to do what I love for a living, and I owe all of this to the lifelong advice of my father to follow your passion and do what you love.
