To add a pop of color and some fun interaction with family, friends, and guests of our home.
My teenage daughter and I often leave small notes or drawings for each other. It's one way for us to stay connected. When one of us leaves a note, we put it in one of the 4 corners so it's easy to identify what's new. Once read, it gets moved elsewhere.
I bought this as an anniversary gift to my parents. My daughter and I wrote little messages and drew pictures on the papers. Then my daughter would roll them up and place them in the slots. My parents loved the gift. They said it was one of the nicest gifts they received. I think this gift can only be limited by what you choose to write inside.
I gave this to my friend during her 40th birthday weekend extravaganza. We set it out on day one with the information card on top. It gave people a chance to write anecdotes, heartfelt wishes, or anything they wanted to express themselves. At the end of the weekend, my friend enjoyed opening and reading all the messages. She plans to use it for future events that she hosts for other people. We also decided it could be used as a "donation" wall for her fundraising events. People can roll up their cash donations into the pigeon holes. The only reason for 4 not 5 stars is the box did arrive damaged. The item box and shipping box were intact, but the nails holding the corners together came loose and needed to be removed. Used wood glue and clear tape on the corners to put it back together.
I wanted some way to remember all the advice people had to give at my wedding. This seemed likke it would fit the bill. Most of the guests filled out the paper with inspiration and advice for a new couple, which I will always cherish. The box was just too cool, and I am so glad I found it.
