When life hands you a musician husband and three musically inclined children, you make jewelry from guitar strings. Wanting to join in on her family’s fun, Amanda Wells put her own creativity to work. One day, the Louisiana-based artist began playing around with a set of her husband’s guitar strings and had soon crafted a bracelet. When she posted her hobby on Facebook, the photos quickly spread. More designs and tons of buzz later, she and her middle daughter Hillary launched a collection, devoting themselves full-time to the business. The move has paid off—for customers, too. One of Amanda’s designs was used in a couple’s marriage proposal!
