The Experience

Hey, we love it neat and on the rocks too, but why stop there? The smoky taste and heady aroma of whiskey have long inspired master mixologists to invent divine mixed drinks—like the ones you’ll learn to craft in this live virtual class with Brooklyn bartender Matt Levy.

  • Matt has carefully chosen a trio of drinks to demonstrate three expert cocktail-making methods: built, shaken, and stirred.
  • You’ll create two bourbon-based sips (a classic Old Fashioned and an all-the-rage Paper Plane), plus a Little Italy made with rye whiskey; Matt will explain the flavors that go into each and share nonalcoholic alternatives that everyone can enjoy.
  • Sure to make you a whiskey wizard, this class is also a wonderful gift for every home-bar aficionado who wants to expand their spirited skill set.
Class length: 90 minutes.

Fantastic Date Night Without Leaving the House!

My wife purchased this class as a gift for me with the idea of it being a date night for us! Since we have young kids, we haven't been able to get out in a while. This class was the PERFECT alternative to heading out! The class allowed us to not only learn some new skills and recipes, but we had an opportunity to spend time together. Matt, the class instructor, was hilarious! Being from Queens, he had the best sense of humor. And, being a local tour guide, he gave us a tour through all of the drinks we made - giving a history, his perspective, and little tidbits! We will certainly be purchasing another class again! And... the icing on the cake...we could take the class, have some fun, all while wearing our comfy pants!

Well worth the time!

We had a great time in Matt's Whiskey 101 class. Our 90 min session was over in a BLINK. It was easy to see that Matt truly loves what he does. He has friendly, knowledgeable, and did a great job managing his class. We're going to treat our friends to this great experience.

A lot of fun learning something new.

Honestly more fun and engaging than I expected. Host was really engaging and knowledgeable of liquor, cocktails, and the history of drinking. I liked his ability to offer modifications or alternatives to ingredients if you didn't have them on hand.

Great Class!

My husband enjoys whiskey and bourbon whereas I do not. It was a birthday gift to him and a great way to learn more about whiskey and bourbon. The paper plane was a great drink! This was our second class and we would definitely take another!
