Lucia Guzman

Born and raised in Bolivia, Lucia Guzman studied fashion design in Lima, Peru, but these days her adopted hometown of New York City is her inspiration. Although she is self-taught in drawing and painting, Lucia finds that the unexpected medium of wire is better for capturing the energetic “tangle of pedestrians” that fills the city's streets. Lucia lives with her husband and two sons in an apartment that doubles as her studio and is “full of wires, pliers, sculptures, and joy.”
