It's what plants crave!
Usually when I go out of town for any length of time my downstairs neighbor waters my plants. But this was the week after Christmas, and John was going to be on the West Coast visiting family. So I was left to my own resources--and to googling "plant watering systems". All I knew was that I didn't want anything with a motor, so Uncommon Ground's Plant Nannies seemed ideal: organic and unobtrusive (even kind of pretty!). I'm by no means a rocket scientist, and though I read how the system works several times, I finally decided I was just going to have to trust it. Besides, I was about to spend a week at a monastery, so I devoted a share of my prayer and meditation to the well-being of my bedroom garden. God and the Plant Nannies both came through: the guys were in great shape when I got home. I still have no idea how the things work, but they do. My plants are happy and healthy--and I've even engaged my trust issues. Thanks, Uncommon Ground!

I gave 3 of these globes to a dear friend who likes to take trips and needs her indoor plants watered.
Looks great, came quickly via currier

This was a gift so I am unable to comment on how it performs but it appeared to be of excellent quality and the globe itself was beautiful. The recipient seemed very pleased although she has not had the opportunity to use it yet.
For watering plants in spring and summer.
Love the design & color of the globes. Would need 3-4 globes for a large indoor plant if leaving plant for a couple of weeks. One globe seems to empty quickly within 1-2 days. The plants seem to thrive better with the extra water source. A unique gift for someone who has everything!

So much better than plastic!

I enjoy beautiful, colorful flowering plants but just cannot judge how much/little to water them. This item offered an aid to keep my deck planter viable. I've concluded that I should have gotten the larger size globe since the outdoor planter is more than two feet in diameter and soaks up the lesser water volume roughly every other day. But don't misunderstand - even replenishing at that rate still affords some confidence that the plants will survive!
Perfect for indoors what with heat and air conditioning changing the temperature and humidity.
