Color & Clarity

With their gestural touches of color, these artful additions to your barware are always half full. Using both traditional glassblowing tools and a computer-controlled kiln, Adam Goldberg layer bands of colored glass onto organically textured clear glass to create one-of-a-kind vessels with tactile appeal. The set of four different colored glasses will complement any cocktail or simple sip of water. Hand wash and avoid exposing glassware to sudden swings in temperature. Handmade in Toledo, Ohio.

Due to the handmade nature of this item, each is unique and will vary.

Adam has been working with glass since 2005, and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Bowling Green State University in 2011. Throughout college, he worked at the Toledo Museum of Art Glass Pavilion teaching workshops, and doing public demonstrations.

Adam received the Stuart R. Givens Fellowship in 2010 and spent two months traveling and working for glass artists throughout Japan's main island of Honshu. This journey led to Adam being invited to work at Pilchuck Glass School as a Teaching Assistant to artist Omura Shunji in 2011. The Japan experience helped Adam develop his aesthetic in glass. Though he is still - and always will be - refining it.

Comments about UncommonGoods Watercolor Glasses - Set of 4:

I just wanted to add a quick comment that we are very happy with this purchase. Base on other comments, we found the weight of the glasses to be appropriate and we are using them as our daily juice glasses. Also, we really like the artists design, and the bubble look in the glass.

Comments about UncommonGoods Watercolor Glasses - Set of 4:

My wife and I are long time shoppers from Uncommon Goods, and it's one of my favorite stores. We were searching for replacement rocks glasses because we had an unfortunate accident with ones that we absolutely loved from UG (2007, hand-blown painted stripes). These do not fit the bill, unfortunately. I understand that they are hand blown and unique, but the glass is so thick that it does not feel like you would be drinking a special cocktail from them. Furthermore, they are so cloudy that it just looks like the glass is permanently dusty or dirty.
