Italian Design, NYC Soul
Lovers of design, the Big Apple, and public transit will get a kick out of wearing Massimo Vignelli's iconic 1972 NYC subway diagram on their personal transit devices (aka feet). Ahead of its time, his beautiful map was in use for only five years. Riders had trouble relating the sleek, synchronized lines to the system they were actually using, which seemed to more resemble the subway in "The Warriors." These comfy, stretchy, cotton-blend socks don't have a per-wear fare, but do please stand clear of the closing doors. Made in Colombia.
