It's All in the Spin
Weaving together sustainable practices and eye-popping patterns, this snuggly pair is made from 100% recycled cotton yarn that's been re-spun into a pattern inspired by Oregon's Mount Tabor, a dormant volcano-turned-park-and-neighborhood. A stitched skyline among a grove of trees recalls those who thrive on the park's scoria hills.
The process begins with remnants from t-shirt factories that would normally be destined for the landfill, which are then ground down and re-born as skeins of vibrant yarn, a practice that eliminates the need for farmland and the harmful dyes and chemicals used to treat virgin cotton. The manufacturers also adhere to a "zero waste" policy, utilizing scraps for new products and making the most of the resources at hand. Made in Portland, Oregon.
