Scents of Place
You may think of the familiar sights or sounds of your favorite place, but catch a breath of just the right scent and suddenly the memories start flooding in. This is the experience Sasha Bertran and Samantha Sherwin hope to create with their state-inspired candles. Each one features a blend of scents meant to evoke the experience of a place—whether that's home, a memory from childhood, or even a dream escape. Made in the USA.
"California" offers a breezy, sundrenched drive down the Pacific Coast Highway, with sweet notes of coconut, suntan oil, and a hint of ocean breeze.
"Florida" blossoms with violets and citrus, and the smell of fresh ozone after a summer rainstorm.
"Boston" brings the crisp feeling of a glorious autumn day, mixing the tang of citrus and New England cranberries with the glorious warmth northern red oak and tobacco leaf.
"Hawaii" washes you away to a tropical paradise perfumed with tropical fruits and coconut palm, its dreamlike glow accentuated by the scent of night-blooming jasmine.
"New Jersey" carries you back to childhood days on the Atlantic City pier, where the scent of popcorn and cotton candy brushes up against the woody notes of the boardwalk.
"New York" glows with the optimistic fragrance of apple and rosewood, crossing paths with the exotic hustle and bustle of cyclamen, jasmine, basil and lily.
"Texas" stakes its claim to a spirit of wide-open spaces, with wisps of cedar, amber and ruby red orange evoking the fiery sunset of a boundless horizon.
