As a child in Holland, Barro was constantly creating and modifying objects and products around the home, logically following in his father's footsteps to study mechanical engineering. After an aptitude test revealed his skills lay in industrial design, his talents and passion were united. Barro studied ID in Holland, England and France, winning design awards and a full scholarship to study at Domus Academy in Milan, Italy, where he became a lecturer.
Barro's design process is to collect items from around the world with a keen eye for function, then re-imagine the function in a new product. Barro's vision is to continue to create new products embracing and expanding upon a "Think Flat. Pack Flat" design philosophy.
