Dipping fresh bread in olive oil has long been a tasty, healthy alternative to butter. In fact, the Italians invented a special dish just for that purpose, called a pinzimonio. Now, designer Mary Judge spices up the traditional version to create these contemporary dipping dishes. The terraced interior surface of the bowl highlights the rich color of olive oil, with each depth appearing to reflect a different shade. The ridges can also be used to brush excess oil from the bread, giving you just the right amount with each morsel. The bowls are molded in Italy using terra cotta clay, and finished with a white, non-toxic glaze. They will be a delicious addition to an antipasti table, or your next family-style spread.
