I would not buy this again

I'm confused by everyone else's ratings. What am I missing?? The box and card deck materials are well-made, that's a plus, but so what? If the cards don't do their job, that doesn't matter. Too much story, too much history, and not enough description for the emotion. I was expecting more psychology, more in-depth understanding of each emotion, etc. They haven't helped me "make sense of your feelings." There are many cards that are bias-laden also. As a scientist, I expected more science to help with identifying and labeling emotions. This is a box of garbage.

Everyone needs to have these at home!

I remember growing up and having a hard time labeling my emotions, so when I saw this box, I was so excited and bought two: one for my friend and one for my house. It describes and labels many different emotions and is so easy to use. My husband and I both use it at home and my friend LOVED getting it as a gift. I told my niece about it and now she wants a box too! 100% recommend.

What's the word for how I'm feeling?

Before I gave these to my friend, I couldn't help but look through each one and read the wonderful stories behind each word. Some words are feelings we know well, like grief. Others are words from different cultures explaining emotions we experience but have no name for in the English language. The accompanying art is also lovely.

Just what I needed!

My go to is anger.With the help of these cards, after a recent experience, I selected a card and I realized I was not angry, I was disappointed. Lesson here... I have to be vulnerable to get to a level to actually decipher my feelings.

A beautiful tool to exploring emotions

I bought this as a way to help identify emotions while I'm going through some intensive therapy. It was an easy and accessible way to explore different emotional states, even without having the right words to describe what a feeling is. The ability to choose something abstract that "feels right" has been enlightening and the cards are just as beautiful as the lovely descriptions on the back.
