Teeter Between Cards
Let your desk out to recess with a business card holder that's all play and no work! An unexpected way to entertain business associates or make a tough client smile, Fred Conlon's see-sawing gnome-be-gones bring more than fun to the table. Each piece carries its own artful story of handmade parts salvaged from recycled steel and discarded tools. Handing out cards has never been so amusing. Handmade in Utah from recycled steel by artist Fred Conlon.

- the maker
Raised in Colorado, Fred Conlon lives now in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he makes garden sculptures out of recovered objects. For his helmet sculptures, he uses real recovered World War II helmets. "It is very satisfying to transform something once used in war into a peaceful garden decoration," he says. His work has been featured in Niche Magazine, the Salt Lake Tribune and HGTV. What would he be if he weren't an artist? "Happy...just kidding!" he answers. "I can't imagine doing anything else."

Comments about Teeter-Totter Gnome-Be-Gone Business Card Holder:
I wasn't sure exactly how big this would be and how it would look, but it's the perfect size and looks just like the picture. The see-saw is operational, and I made some fake business cards before I wrapped it for my husband. It was a hit! It will definitely brighten up his office and make people smile.
