Teak Root Coffee Table

This unique coffee table is made from a cross section of teak roots.

Remember Your Roots

Made from the roots of mature teak trees harvested in Indonesia, these striking coffee tables wed modern design with one-of-a-kind organic appeal. Prized for its natural durability, teak is a precious commodity controlled and responsibly sustained by the Indonesian government. These tabletops are formed from slabs of the trees' intricate root systems, utilizing waste that would otherwise be left to decompose in the forest. Presented on midcentury modern-inspired hairpin legs, each monumental cross section is a compellingly unique essay in nature's infinite variety of design that will bring a bold formal statement to any decor. Handmade in Indonesia.

Due to the recycled and handmade nature of this item, each is unique and will vary.

Comments about UncommonGoods Teak Root Coffee Table:

I was really excited about this unique find and it is beautiful BUT not exactly as expected. I did know that the pictured table was not the exact table I would get but it seems quite a bit smaller and less "interesting" than I was imagining it. When I opened the box I actually thought I had accidentally ordered the side table (It's 33"x22") It is also wobbly due to the asymmetrical nature of the trunk - you can't set anything on the longer side part - so not as practical as more traditional coffee table.

Overall, it is lovely and quite unique but I think my expectations led me to be a little disappointed. Perhaps having more pictures on the website of different variations of the table would have been helpful.
