At Your Service

When a career change relocated Stacy Borocz from Atlanta to Budapest, the former Atlanta-based merchandise manager didn't realize the treasured opportunity she'd soon discover at the footsteps of her new home.

Stacy's passion for one-off discoveries and her desire to explore her new environs inspired her to seek out unusual and often overlooked locations, such as flea markets, shuttered factories, and military bases. She eagerly rummaged through each place for its hidden relics and delved deep into her ancient city's rich history by repurposing the antiquated artifacts she uncovered.

Like Stacy's other finds, this handsome tapas plank carries with it the thoughtfulness and craftsmanship of its original makers. The sturdy slabs of reclaimed timber salvaged from old buildings throughout Europe are hand-sanded and inset with lightwood and brick trivets. The surrounding wood is finished with natural beeswax or mineral oils for a smooth, splinter-free finish.

Combining functionality and old-world style, this rustic server adds a touch of medieval romance to the contemporary table. Its heat-proof surface allows you to serve piping hot appetizers, dips, or your favorite party pairings with ease and élan. Made in Hungary.

“Creating pieces is all about curating a life well-lived--one that we believe is best enjoyed around food, wine, friends, and family.”

Stacy Borocz brings new meaning to the term lost and found. The maker, who is deeply inspired by the time she spent living in Hungary, scours old homes, barns, and warehouses with her team to find architectural objects to turn into one-of-a-kind housewares. “Creating pieces is all about curating a life well-lived—one that we believe is best enjoyed around food, wine, friends, and family,” she says. “And, most importantly, one that is rooted in the classics and sustainably procured.” Though she’s now based in Georgia, Budapest remains Stacy’s greatest source of inspiration. “It’s where we gather our 19th century wood beams and where our sustainable roots began,” she says. “The architecture is spectacular and comprises a unique blend of old and new. It’s a feast for the eyes and the soul.”
