Play with Food

Can't get your little one to try sushi? Maybe that's because you're asking them to eat it. These California rolls were made for play (seriously, don't eat them), and thus kid-approved. Pre-school teacher Kate Leibrand started making this sidewalk chalk for her mini pupils. They went crazy for them. Now all little ones can enjoy her imaginative art supplies. Packaged in a classic sushi take-out box, they make a fun birthday gift for kids ages three and up. Use on sidewalks and pavement only. Handmade in Philadelphia.

Due to the handmade nature of this item, each is unique and will vary.

An artist, maker, and Philadelphia preschool teacher, Kate Leibrand is the creative force behind TWEE - a company specializing in hand-made, small batch, sidewalk chalk. The name TWEE comes from her art school critiques. After repeatedly being told her work was too “twee” or “cute” Kate began to wonder - What was so wrong with that? Instead of changing her aesthetic, Kate decided to embrace it and TWEE was born! All TWEE products are hand-poured, painted and created with love. What started as a project in her kitchen has expanded into a small, woman owned and run business whose products are carried all over the country.
