Uncommon Good has solved the problem previously reported with the words peeling off these mugs. We received two new Supreme Court mugs and they work perfectly for hot beverages. So don't hesitate to order these as the problem has been corrected.
Mug Looked Great, but the first time we used it for a cup of tea most of the letters bubbled up and peeled off. We have other "disappearing" type mugs that have survived for years but this mug is not designed for its intended use. We are very disappointed. I purchased one for my daughter and one for my nephew. Now I know why my nephew never sent a thank you note!

I got this for my best friend for her graduation from law school and it was the perfect gift. She loved that she could identify the cases she had read over the three years of school. It was reasonably priced and arrived in a few days. Great buy.
I thought this would be a great mug for my law student wife, but it wasn't worth the money. She knew it wasn't dishwasher safe, so she put it in the sink to hand wash it. While she was washing the spoon she used, all of the words rinsed off the mug just from the hot watering running over it -- she wasn't even washing the actual mug!! It was a nice idea, but completely impractical -- we only got one use out of it and then it was basically a plain white mug.
Unique gift for recent law grad. Great concept, but not practical. Despite gentle hand washing, per instructions, lettering came off one side of mug the first time it was used. Disappointing. Would only recommend for decorative use, i.e. pencil holder, etc., which defeats purpose, as "disappearing" quality only works when filled with hot liquid.
Used it once and letters began to peel off almost immediately. Letters were gone when I began rinsing out the mug before even using soap.
This was my favorite Christmas present to give. It was for my cousin the litigator. It was smart, fun and thoughtful! My only problem is that I didn't realize he doesn't drink coffee :(

I bought this as a gift for my husband. He used it 4 times and we were handwashing it (as instructed) and the letters started to come off. I called the service number and they will send another one, however, the representative could not tell me if the quality of the new one would be the same or better as I now see that other reviewers have experienced the same bad quality. I think Uncommon Goods should look to revisit the manufacturer and see if they can get a better quality mug made or stop selling them. I have always had good experiences with the quality of Uncommon Goods products so I am hopeful they will fix this issue.
