We always get the traditional wedding gifts for each other on our anniversary and we usually include one small silly, or loosely interpreted, gift. The 6th wedding anniversary is iron and magnetic putty, well the description says it's made with iron-based particles. Around the holidays I always get him silly putty for his stocking and he loves it. Magnetic silly putty was anniversary worthy alternative. He loves. It comes in a cool tin box and I guarantee he is playing with it in his office.

My grandson who loves science is enjoying this very much!
This putty has no magnetic qualities in itself as one might think from it's name. It has metal particles with in it that can be attracted by a magnetic field. It does come with a magnet that can temporarily magnetize the metal in the putty to create the pictured effects of the ad. Without the magnetic it is just putty. So if you were going to stick it under a table to hold something, it won't work without the magnet. You could glue the magnet under the table and do the same thing. It is an interesting toy but not a lot of usefulness for a magician. Fun to play with though :)
I bought this as a gift for my brother.
My son loved this magnetic putty. He has an inquisitive mind and this was perfect for him. I do wish the putty came with a better instruction/explanation guide so that we would know how to better use it. We had to go on line to try to figure out how to use it. But over all, great product for the price. There are not many different ways to use it, but it is an interesting, fun, inexpensive gift.
Love the product, it was larger than I thought it would be. And they had fast delivery I will use this company again
yes, it's magnetic, but not very strong or fast moving as I had seen...
The putty is fun to play with like play doh but it is magnet and can move around.
Returning mine today. The youtube video shows the putty moving quickly over the magnet. It tooks hours for it to swallow the magnet.
This was a fun gift for my brother who has everything.
