Linda Johnson hand-forms this piece from creamy white stoneware, then perks up the finished product with slip-trailed lines in an array of vibrant glazes. Sculptor Linda Johnson's knew a career in clay was her calling. She found her passion for the medium while working for a couple in their handmade tile studio and honed her skills at Tyler School of Art where she earned a degree in sculpture. She forms each of her pieces by hand using both the wheel and hand-building techniques. To finish, she draws into the surface of the clay, enlivening simple utilitarian forms with compelling textures and illustrations.
