From designing rooms to dressing them, interior designer Denise Fiedler's attraction to the art of collage began when she stumbled upon a box of vintage books and newsprint in her attic. These ephemeral fragments of literature proved inspirational for Denise, who decided to transform her attic's forgotten library into art.
Denise carefully carves shapely silhouettes from the yellowing pages and she then assembles the paper cutouts into endearing pastiches of familiar objects and animals, like this lanky stork that artfully celebrates the arrival of a special baby. Like a clipping from a children's bedtime story, this fabled, feathered fellow brings whimsy and joy to the new arrival's nursery. Handmade in San Francisco, California.
