Christmas gift for my BIL. I expected it to be big enough to cut a whole pizza with but it's very small. More like flatbread size. Not sure how useful
definitely for pizza, but many other uses as mentioned above..
This was a gift for a friend who makes great pizzas. The recipe has been perfect so now he just needed the best tools. Pizza stone- check, peel- check, now he has the perfect pizza cutter for the perfect pizza! It's sharp so it's functional, but it's also beautiful, it almost acts as art for the kitchen!
Love this gadget. A necessary for any family who loves pizza like we do!
I love this hardcore pizza slicer! This thing doubles as a weapon. Wow whee is it sharp!! This cutter is very stable and very effective. My husband was asking for his turn the first time I pulled it out. The edgy design is like nothing else, and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. I only wish this company offered an equally impressive pizza stone to go with. Very pleased!
Its very sharp and does the job
We started using this piece to cut our weekly pizza. It is far better than the normal rolling pizza cutter. It is also so nice we made it part of our decor
I agree with the comments that it would be nice if it were bigger but then it would be difficult to store. It works really well in cutting through pizza and is really a beautiful piece.
New York, Ny
I have strugged with getting pizzas cut for years, and now that I'm a little old lady, it had just gotten worse. Ergo, I shelled out for this cutter as a Xmas present for myself, prepared to return it if it didn't "do the trick": Well, it does, spectacularly so! Plus, it matches other hand-forged utensils and pot hanger made by Ivan Bailey, years ago. Only drawback: it could be an inch longer, maybe? But better a bit short than too long! Too, it should be cared for the same as iron pots--skillets, dutch ovens--which may be off-putting for some. Also, I am concerned about the best way to sharpen it: can I use my knife sharpener?
The product itself is wonderful- useful and durable. However, for the price, I was expecting something a little bigger. For the size that I know that it is, I would have paid $40 with no disappointment when it came. Definitely not undermining the beauty and the obvious time and effort into making the piece, just thought it would at least cut the whole way across a regular sized pizza in one cut. The size works perfect for a block cheese cutter!
