For The Love Of Pizza

Give your next pizza night a touch of Old World design. Using time-honored techniques, artist Steven Bronstein hammers recycled steel to produce an eye-catching pizza cutter that harkens back to the bygone days of blacksmithing. Handmade in Vermont.

Made in Vermont

Exclusively for UncommonGoods

Working out of an old dairy barn in Marshfield, Vermont, blacksmith Steven Bronstein has been creating functional and sculptural ironwork with his team for over 30 years.

At the forge you will see both the traditional and contemporary tools available to the modern blacksmith. His designs strive to blend the primitive charm of ironwork with the energy and interest of more contemporary design. Relying on the qualities that make iron such a beautiful material, Steven's pieces are both delicate and rugged. Steven celebrates this aspect of his art and looks forward to all of its possibilities.

Care
To preserve the finish, please hand wash and dry. Occasionally apply mineral oil or any other food safe oil. Use an abrasive pad to remove any oxide and then re-coat with oil. The cutter will rarely need sharpening, but when it does, a file or stone is recommended.

Help condition and preserve your pizza cutter with mineral oil.
Notes
The compact size and curved shape of the cutter allows it to work for all size pizzas. For larger pizzas, multiple cuts are easily made.

I love this hardcore pizza slicer! This thing doubles as a weapon. Wow whee is it sharp!! This cutter is very stable and very effective. My husband was asking for his turn the first time I pulled it out. The edgy design is like nothing else, and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. I only wish this company offered an equally impressive pizza stone to go with. Very pleased!

Smaller than expected

Beautifully crafted, but too small to cut a normal sized personal pizza. The image displayed gives a very false impression.

I agree with the comments that it would be nice if it were bigger but then it would be difficult to store. It works really well in cutting through pizza and is really a beautiful piece.

Comments about UncommonGoods Steel Pizza Cutter:

I have strugged with getting pizzas cut for years, and now that I'm a little old lady, it had just gotten worse. Ergo, I shelled out for this cutter as a Xmas present for myself, prepared to return it if it didn't "do the trick": Well, it does, spectacularly so! Plus, it matches other hand-forged utensils and pot hanger made by Ivan Bailey, years ago. Only drawback: it could be an inch longer, maybe? But better a bit short than too long! Too, it should be cared for the same as iron pots--skillets, dutch ovens--which may be off-putting for some. Also, I am concerned about the best way to sharpen it: can I use my knife sharpener?

                Service and delivery comments:

                Excellent service.

Comments about UncommonGoods Steel Pizza Cutter:

The product itself is wonderful- useful and durable. However, for the price, I was expecting something a little bigger. For the size that I know that it is, I would have paid $40 with no disappointment when it came. Definitely not undermining the beauty and the obvious time and effort into making the piece, just thought it would at least cut the whole way across a regular sized pizza in one cut. The size works perfect for a block cheese cutter!

Comments about UncommonGoods Steel Pizza Cutter:

This was the perfect gift for our 11 year anniversary because the "traditional" gift is steel for this anniversary. The design was creative and beautiful...and made of steel! My husband loves pizza so this was the perfect gift! I thought it was a little larger though so was surprised to see that it was so small....cuts a personal pan pizza size. I was hoping it would be the size to cut a large. Overall, it was a great gift and I am pleased with it.

Comments about UncommonGoods Steel Pizza Cutter:

Even after reading the reviews, it was smaller than I expected. The blade is only about 9" long and the entire thing is about 11" long. Unless you make pizzas in a cake pan it will take 2 cuts to complete the line, but that doesn't bother me. It cuts really easily with minimal pressure.
