A Bowl Full of Joy

This joyful, handcrafted serving bowl from ceramicist Elaine Leonard makes presenting everything from fruit to fettuccini a celebration. Elaine carefully forms the white stoneware on her potter's wheel, and layers multiple glazes to create the piece's colorful swirl. The bowl is large enough to serve pasta or salad for a family gathering, and attractive enough to sit anywhere just looking pretty. Handmade in St. Louis, Missouri.

Elaine Leonard, a graphic designer turned potter, got her start at the University of Missouri Bachelor of Fine Art Program. After years in the design community, with one hand always in clay, she finally turned her focus to ceramics full-time. With a home studio located just West of St. Louis, she strives to create unique, functional work. She enjoys working on the wheel and experimenting with multiple layers of glaze to create stunning patterns of color.
