The Best Resort

You may not be rocking by the fire with hot cocoa in Aspen or Vail, but who needs a ski lodge when you have great seating in your own home? Handmade from recycled snow skis and dense, unfinished Canadian white cedar by Massachusetts artist Mike Bellino, the "Chair Man of the Boards". Bellino lets wood to undergo a natural finishing process called "checking," which creates naturally-occuring cracks that do not compromise the integrity of the wood.

Available in Adult and Child size. Sold separately.

Only ground shipping is available for these items. Handmade in Massachusetts. Some assembly required. Cover if left outside. Unfinished cedar will patina and weather if left out in the elements, which is the artist's intention. If you prefer to keep the chair as is, treat it with a polyurethane finish or wood stain.

Due to the handmade and recycled nature of these items, each is one-of-a-kind and will vary slightly.

Unfortunately, this item cannot ship outside of the United States at this time.

Michael Bellino

Michael Bellino started making Ski chairs in 1993 after purchasing a lake house that needed deck furniture. Looking for an alternative to plastic patio furniture, he found inspiration in O'Neils Bike and Ski Shop, which he managed. Two weeks and two prototypes later, he created the first Ski chair with his old racing and bump skis. Michael says he's still sitting in that original chair today!

Over the next few years he expanded the product offering using different types of sports equipment. Understanding the importance of recycling, Michael recycles all types of sports equipment, uses recycled plastic for bench legs and ships all of the larger products in recycled bicycle boxes. Currently, Michael and his team recycles over 20,000 pieces of sports equipment each year, which includes snow and water skis, wake and snow boards, hockey sticks, baseball bats and golf clubs. collection

    Comments about Snow Ski Rockers:

I bought this as a birthday gift for my husband who is an avid skier. The chair is pretty freakin' awesome! He loves it and I must say I do too. It goes great in front of our fireplace in our new house. We love it so much their we're debating on buying a second one!

          Comments about Snow Ski Rockers:

I searched for an unusual 50th birthday present for my avid skiing sister. I found uncommon goods and decided the rocker would be a perfect fit for the loft she owns. She was blown away. My mother loved it too. Since I bought the present I can not tell you if she sits in it or uses it for decorative purposes or both. I do know she rarely gets excited but this present did just that. I can not give a better complement.
