Liquid Smoke

These handcrafted coasters get their swirling, marbled appearance from a technique called "kiln forming", where individual pieces of glass are softened by heat, shaped, and fused together into one-of-a-kind creations. Glass artisans Dylan and Amy Engler use the process to create a visual texture and sense of depth that will add an accent of sophisticated color to a living room, den, or home office. Each has four rubber feet to protect your surfaces from scratches. Set of 4 comes wrapped in raffia, for elegant gift giving. Handmade in Columbus, Ohio.

What happens when a flameworker meets an interior designer? Probably a good sprinkler system. But also beautiful, functional, original works of art. Dylan and Amy Engler began working together when Amy was designing a glass studio for her thesis in design school. Soon after, they developed a line of tableware together, and today their glasswork has grown to include home decor, functional objects, and jewelry. They hand-craft each piece in their Granville, Ohio studio.
