I bought one for my best friend too

I bought this because nothing sticks to my shower walls and I have bottles everywhere making the sides of my tub all gross. it was super easy to install and its super easy to use. it works like a charm now I dont have bottles crowding up my tub and falling on my feet. I bought one for my best friend as well.

Very impressed

Well made

I must have one for myself.

Practical, holds shampoo and shower gel.

Solution for two teenage sisters sharing a bathroom

They can hang these anywhere they want and instantly tell whose is whose because of the different colors available.

Definitely a unique way to hold things in the shower!

I got this because I had my shower remodeled and wanted to be able to not have all sorts of "stuff" sitting on the new marble shelves. I use the shelves for big things, but all those little items, like the shower squeegee or pumice stone, just look cluttered on a shelf and gunky. I'll admit, at first I was frustrated and thought this was a bad purchase decision, because it takes some getting used to. But once I figured out how to hang bottles upside down, that was great, and also figured out how to hang something like the squeegee such that it hangs, but the loop isn't so tight I have to wrangle it out everyday, I love it. I can just lightly slip the squeegee back into place and it holds. It is hard to manipulate it around stuff when you're in the shower and wet, so for example when I wanted to get a bottle into it to hang upside down, I turned the water off and did it then- much easier. So bottom line- it works like it says, it holds a lot, it's fun looking, and it keeps stuff suspended, just don't get frustrated if at first it seems like it's not going to work.

Thumbs up!

Christmas surprise for my college frosh niece.

It's so cute and perfect

It is an ingenious design.

I know this will help!!!

This is wonderful!! It will keep the bathroom in order.....

Practical and fun:)

I purchased this shower squid for a small shower in our guest bath. It's incredibly practical as it holds all necessary products, and dispenses them easily. I was afraid it may be juvenile, but really it just looks innovative and cool. Love it!

Awesome!

It holds all my different shower gels and hair products. If your bottles are too small for the loops, feed the long part through the loop to make your own, smaller loop. If you have a small shower or tub enclosre, you may bump it once in a while cause if you load it up full, it does occupy a bit of space. You could hang it on your shower head, your shower curtain rod or as we have done, we put an adjustable tension shower rod just above the tile wall against the long side of the shower/tub (opposite the shower cutain) and have S hooks to hang odd things on like back scrubber and a small plastic basket with drain holes for foot care items.

what size shampoo bottles/ shave cream cans does this hold?

Verified reply from Michelle

Great question! The squid's tentacles can be adjusted to fit any size bottle. For more information, click on the video provided: https://www.uncommongoods.com/product/shower-squids

Can the head location be adjusted up or down - making the hanging "arm" above the head longer, for instance, and the 9th arm will shorten?

Verified reply from Valerie

You can adjust the size of the loop, which will lengthen or shorten the distance between the head and the bottom of the loop. This would not impact the length of the 9th arm.

I know that the loops are adjustable when making then tighter around the products but how do I loosen them? I've been trying to loosen them every which way by pulling on the loops in the reverse but it doesn't give at all.

The loops should loosen in the same way they tighten. To be sure, I just gave one of these little fellas an arm adjustment and, although it was a little stiff, the movable portion did slide to allow the loop to grow and shrink. To enlarge the loop, hold the connector firmly while gripping the rubber close to the base of the connector and pull to allow more of the "tentacle" to slip through.

What are you hanging these from? A suction cup hanger, because some of those slide down? That is my big question?

Verified reply from Cassie, Community Moderator

The Shower Squid doesn't come with a hanger, but he does have a loop coming out of the top of his head for easy hanging. You can hang him from the shower head, clip him to one of the rings or a pipe, or hang him using one of those suction cups. The squid isn't that heavy alone, but if you're worried about the cup sliding down, you'll want to be careful not to weigh down the tentacles with very heavy bottles.

how do you hand this shower squid

Verified reply from Marisa, Assistant community moderator

You can hang Your shower spout, a hook, wherever you would hang a conventional shower caddy.

Reply from K the Student

There is a long "tentacle" on the top of the squid that you can use to hang it on your shower head. The loop is adjustable to feasibly fit any size shower head!

Are the loops adjustable? For instance, that bar of soap looks held onto very well; would it still be when the bar of soap is half used?

Verified reply from Peter

The loops are adjustable for size, but the item is probably likely to work better with bottles than with bars of soap. We should be changing the image on our item page to reflect this.

Verified reply from Peter

Our apologies for the delayed response as we were checking this information with our vendor. While the loops are adjustable for size, they probably will work better with bottles than with soap bars. Soap can be held while it's still a fresh bar but will not hold well as it's being used.

Yes, they are all adjustable. You may have to pull hard to adjust them. I soaped the arms up then they slid easier. You could put a toothbrush in there.

Reply from Joyce the Organizer

Yes, the loops are adjustable. However, it's use is best for bottles.

Reply from Owlchick

You can just pull the loop tighter around the soap that's left. The straps adjust; I had various types of bottle hanging from mine and customized the loops (they demonstrate it in the video about the product, too).

Reply from Terri the shopper

Not adjustable, but the loops are so tight, yet stretchable. Good thing is when the bottle (whatever) is removed, the loops return to their original tension. Small soap bar, all I can say is it should hold a 1/2 size. Strong/great quality, but I think everything from here is.

Reply from bbell

the loops are very easy to adjust--there is a quick video in the product description of how to do this. you just hold the open part of the loop firmly & pull the long part that hangs down.

Reply from emmaclaire

No, the loops are not adjustable. It will not hold a soap. It holds only big round shampoo bottles.

Reply from Gramma Whiteface

they are not adjustable....it would not hold the bar of soap when it's used & smaller

Reply from ABarts

Yes, they are adjustable. Not super easy to adjust (because of the material,) but the loops slide to be smaller or larger.

One review said there wasn't a spot for bars of soap? In your picture, there is a bar of soap in one of the loops. Does the bar of soap slip out easily? Has this been tested at your store? Thanks.
