the gold foil is a bit sensitive so the packaging paper wore off very little marks when I first unrolled the map. Don't mind it though, kind of adds a more unique touch.

I HIGHLY recommend this to any one who aspires to travel or has been everywhere already

We framed it and it is displayed for all to see. Once we scratched off several countries, we could see that the printed countries names under the scratch off were doubleprinted and look blurry, very disappointing for a beautiful as the map is!

Comments about UncommonGoods Scratch Map:

The quality of paper seems really good. This was purchased as a gift and although she hasn't yet tried to scratch off places she has already visited, she was really happy with the gift.

Comments about UncommonGoods Scratch Map:

I have now purchased this map multiple times! I got it first for my brother, then for my best friend, and another for my fiancé. I finally got myself one and it's absolutely wonderful.

Definitely be careful with scratching out the countries. If you aren't careful, you can tear the coating off.

My Sister in law travels a lot and has been doing so for years. I thought this could be a fun, artsy, way to help her remember everywhere she's been. She loved it and brought it up to her office.

Perfect Conversation Piece!

Comments about UncommonGoods Scratch Map:

This map is very elegant and modern. It arrives perfectly packed and unrolls easily without any wrinkles. Because of it's odd size there isn't a standard frame that it fits inside, but I tacked it to painter's canvas. It's really lovely and tells a beautiful story of my family's travels together.

Comments about UncommonGoods Scratch Map:

The map doesn't scratch well with a coin. My husband opened it a couple of weeks after receiving it but the gold foil doesn't scratch off easily. In fact the surface of the map started to wear and tear.

My niece wrote an online blog that helped us all live vicariously through her. The details she gave and the photos she included were awesome! Giving her this scratch map helped us to see where "we" traveled!

Comments about UncommonGoods Scratch Map:

I haven't seen it opened yet, but it's the perfect engagement gift for my daughter and son-in-law to be! They have already traveled around the states and just made a trip to Japan (where Brett proposed) and I hope they will enjoy marking off further travels on their map. No encouragement needed, these kids love to travel! I'd love to send an update once the engagement party if over!

Perfect gift for world travelers

Comments about UncommonGoods Scratch Map:

I bought this map a few years ago for my friend who is a travel writer. She loves it and about 75% of it is uncovered.
I bought another one this month to give as a gift to my sister who works Internationally. I am sure she will love it.
I bought a poster frame for them hang it on the wall. My friend put it in the frame in front of the glass, behind the mat so it was easy to scratch off the countries. Once it is 100 scratched off she can put the glass on top.
