Sometimes there's nothing to do but play it as it lies. When the workday's tough, this clever desktop paperweight is an amusing reminder that there's no obstacle that can't be overcome. The Sand Trap Paperweight handcrafted in Seattle contains a colorful assortment of tees, a real golf ball, and of course, sand -- everything one would expect to find in those pesky sand traps!

The bright white and rich spring green of the handmade art-glass globe are a nod to the white flags and golf balls dotting the course's perfectly manicured grass. This miniature sand trap makes a great gift for golf-loving dads and bosses! As an added interesting fact, all products from this studio contain ash from the 1980 Mt. St. Helens eruption. Wanted a unique git for my son's birthday, who's somewhat hard to buy for but is an avid Florida golfer. Additionally, he was a young child visiting Portland, Oregon, at the time Mt. St. Helen's erupted in 1980, so thought he'd also enjoy the fact that this contained ashes from that eruption. And, as suspected, he did enjoy the uniqueness of this product. We both felt it was well crafted and just the right size.

I was really excited when I saw this beautiful glass paperweight. My husband is a golfer, collects paperweights and is very hard to buy for. I love glass items like this. Everything about this would be great... The painted glass, real sand inside, golf ball, golf tee... Everything except, there is no way possible to keep it in place (inside) or even get it into the nice display as pictured. It would be perfect if it could somehow have just been anchored, the golf ball to the tee and the tee to the base of the glass allowing everything else to be free moving. That would have allowed me to give 5 stars, purchase more and not be disappointed. What a shame, I really liked it otherwise.
