A Chip Off The Ol' Dip

This all-in-one set makes serving and savoring dips and chips simple, stylish, and stress-free. The handmade bamboo platter has a groove in the middle that perfectly fits the innovative ceramic bowl that has a strategically raised side allowing snackers to keep the salsa from shimmying off their chips. Say adios to drippy trails, rogue tomatoes and unstable scoops!

The Salsabol was invented by two recent college graduates with a taste for design and salsa to meet the needs of dip enthusiasts who longed for the perfect scoop—without the inevitably ruined tablecloth. This platter takes their ingenious vessel one step further by nesting your chips comfortably (and attractively) next to your favorite salsa (or dip du jour). Made in China.

Unfortunately, this item cannot ship outside of the United States at this time.

"The idea of a bowl that would keep salsa from spilling was something we had only joked about," said Salsabol designers Michael Charley and Tom Stewart.

While working demanding day jobs in separate parts of the world in 2009, Stewart and Charley decided to commit every free moment to moonlighting as product developers. "The first step began we we transformed an old concept sketch on the back of a napkin into a 3-D computer model. From there, we had to navigate the complicated world of prototyping, manufacturing, testing, shipping and dragon-slaying," they said.

"We'll never forget the day when we sat down with our very first prototype and a bag of chips and salsa: It actually worked!"
