On the Dot

Awarded with the prestigious National Medal of Arts, graphic designer Milton Glaser is best known for his touristic t-shirts promoting affection for a certain East Coast metropolis—New York City.

Beyond his timeless "I Love New York" design of 1977, Glaser has recently veered into the business of time telling with his minimalist timepiece. Sporting a white frosted face, the clock substitutes hour and minute hands with yellow and red dots with revolve around a larger yellow dot that serves as the center of the dial. Made in China.

Milton Glaser is among one of the most celebrated graphic designers in the United States. In 2004, he was selected for the lifetime achievement award of the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum, and in 2009, he was the first graphic designer to receive the National Medal of Arts award.
