Comments about Reclaimed Textile Spool Coat Rack:

This item looks better in person than in the catalog. Very "artsy" and functional. One needs a stud finder to affix it to the wall. I was very pleased with the purchase.

Comments about Reclaimed Textile Spool Coat Rack:

The coat rack is very attractive! We bought it because it fit our style and it wasn't too expensive. It arrived without any instructions and the metal plate used to attach it to the wall was already attached to the product. Typically I wouldn't need instructions but after three days of trying to get the metal plate to release from the coat rack, I called the company. I was hung up on twice, I'm sure it was accidental, and finally told I would be called back because their computer system was down and the instructions couldn't be looked up. Two days later I am still waiting on a call back.

Comments about Reclaimed Textile Spool Coat Rack:

First, let me say that I really like it and think it will work well, but was surprised that the structural design of the wall attachment was weak. There is a metal plate that is screwed into the wall (studs!). The plate has a couple of rods welded to it which support the visible wood components. The problem is that the metal plate is only about 2" tall and given the length of the spools, the torque applied to the plate when coats are hung on them is extreme. I would encourage the manufacturer to use a taller plate. If you purchase this, you should purchase some padding/spacer attachments (like you would attach to the bottom of furniture) to insure that the wood panel is in contact with the wall. Otherwise, it will rock as coats are hung and removed. Also, use some heavier-duty screws rather than the drywall screws shipped with the product.

Comments about Reclaimed Textile Spool Coat Rack:

I purchased this item to be used in our mudroom for coats, hats, etc. It was going to sit in a slightly wider than average hallway. Unfortunately, the spools on the rack were much larger than I had anticipated, and the rack itself sticks out by a foot. We couldn't figure out how it would work in our home and had to send it back. It was just much too large.
