Your New Flame
Retired after decades of heroically battling blazes, fire hoses are reimagined as rugged rugs adding inextinguishable charm to any room. A search for a reclaimed fabric led LauraLe Wunsch to a local fire station where stacks of 50-foot long fire hoses sat unused. Intrigued by the distinctive colors, patterns, scuffs, and tatters that give each hose character, Wunsch resourcefully repurposed the material in a way that makes the most of its practically indestructible nature. Each resilient, hand-stitched rug stands up in high traffic areas and is perfect for the garage, mudroom, man cave, or entrance of your local volunteer firehouse. Handmade in Oakland, California.
