Quilling is Thrilling
"Quilling" is a noun, meaning lovely, filligree-filled, 3D designs made from strips of colored paper. But it's also a verb, when you create your own. This simple kit gets you quilling, quick-like, as it guides you through making a card covered with pretty pink cherry blossoms or beaming yellow sunflowers. It's easy, even for beginners.
Fall into a tranquil, meditative state as you follow along with an online tutorial (the link will be included in the instructions) or use the design template as a guide. You just roll the pre-cut paper strips around the quilling tool, turning them into curlicues. Then pinch the scrolled paper into different shapes and glue them together to make the blossoms. The professional-looking results will surprise (and addict) you.
We cannot tell a lie: We tried to think up a jokey conclusion about cut paper cherry blossoms, young George Washington's hatchet, and that unfortunate tree, but it was not to be. Scroll on. Made in Vietnam.
