Drew Kelley is an Industrial Designer who, for 30+ years, has invented, designed, and developed a wide range of products for the home and workplace. He thrives on the challenges of developing new products and the decision-making involved in getting a design through the manufacturing process in a pragmatic fashion. With the Darwin D. Martin House Bird Feeder, Drew wanted to create a product that was not designed to be mass-produced in a faraway land. Instead, he designed a handmade product using domestic vendors to supply key components. He collaborated with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation to design a unique bird feeder that pays homage to Wright in its styling. The “Art Glass” window presented in the feeder is based on a 1903 sketch by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Darwin D. Martin House in Buffalo, NY.
