Meteor Flowers

Mama Earth's the planet of a gardener's dreams (she's got that whole "being able to sustain life" thing going on.) But there's a lot more to love in the solar system. Put your plants a little closer to some of those celestial bodies with these reclaimed metal garden stakes, handmade by Ben and Kate Gatski .

Each one features a planet:

Jupiter, to promote a positive frame of mind

Venus, to symbolize beauty in the garden

Earth, to celebrate the connection among all living things

Moon, symbolizing the subconscious (Anyone into lunar gardening will especially appreciate this one.)

Display them in an outdoor garden, where your plants grow toward the stars, or indoors to connect houseplants and bouquets with vast world outside. Handmade in Pennsylvania.

Due to the recycled and handmade nature of this item, each is unique and will vary.

Before founding their metal business in 2003, Ben and Kate Gatski both worked in agriculture. Now that they're making art, they want to honor agriculture through their designs.

Ben started his own organic dairy business at 19 and Kate worked for the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture, which helps to inform farmers about organic and sustainable techniques. Now that they're full-time makers, much of their art starts on the farm. To create their work, they hand select old machinery found on local farms. By tearing apart large equipment to get smaller parts, they're able to create unique sculptures that contain pieces of the past.
