Tipsy Tumblers

The famous Tower of Pisa leans because it was built on an unstable foundation. But these playful mugs are built from a solid foundation of slip cast ceramic, and they simply lean for the fun of it. Each mug is given a coat of colorful, food-safe glaze that drizzles down from the top and leaves a strip of unfinished ceramic glaze exposed at the base. Handmade by Kwok Wai Lau in Canada.

Kwok Wai Lau

A fan of the British sense of humor, Scottish rainy days, and Montreal's beauty, Kwok Wai Lau seeks to make accessories for the home that encapsulate all three. Whether its his eccentric drain pipe porcelain vase, or drinking mugs that come dressed in their very own sweater-like cozies, Lau injects his designs with unusual characteristics, UK charm, and lots of creativity, all while being quite practical.
