I really like this product because I would always end up searching throughout my house to find a pick - those days are behind me now, as I have more picks than licks. Only reason for 4 stars is the variance of quality on the pick edges - which is more a consequence of the material used than the pick punch itself. Fun part is framing the perfect pick from the card chosen - looking from underneath you can easily and accurately do this.

I am ALL about recycle/upcyling everything and anything. So I bought this product to use as an unique tool in my art studio. I have used the Pick Punch to cut both plastic and thick cardboard materials. The cut "picks" are used to create necklaces, bracelet charms, and I use it in my mixed media work. I enjoy the unique triangle shape.

At first, it cut the materials with ease. But the more you used the tool, the duller the blade gets. And unfortunately when it is dull, the cut gives you irregular edges. So now I have to take the time to trim the edges. Boo.

From a music perspective - you will only get a few nice picks. And because the plastic is a lighter weight you will also get a different tone quality when you play the chosen stringed instrument. Depending on the player, it could be bad or good.

I would give this a 5 star rating if the blade didn't dull so quickly! I've only been using the product for a month.

I got a pick punch as a gift for my brother. I have not given it to him yet but I tried it out and it makes very good picks. The edges are rough so you will need to get a cheap file (you can get a multipack for a buck usually). I think it is very well made and a great gift idea.

Ever since I went to Gryphon Stringed Instruments in Palo Alto and saw their pick press I've wanted something like this. I'm looking forward to checking out a variety of materials and designs for my guitar picks. This would be a fun and useful gift for any guitarist. Although I've only had it for a few days, it looks extremely sturdy and well-made.

This is a fun addition to any guitarist's guitar case. Make your own pick from - well, anything! The edges do need to be filed down a bit, but that's easy. It's great to see picks that are more personalized - awesome use for those junkie credit cards they send without you asking! I love having a pick with my name on it!

My husband thought that this was a great gift-very unique and something he had not seen before. We immediately pulled out an old credit card that had his favorite football team on it and now he has a guitar pick with his team's logo on it. The only drawback that we saw was the the edges can be a bit rough after the pick is punched, but my husband quickly saw that after a few strums with it, the edge cleaned right up. Fun gift for a musician!
