I purchased two manhole cover mats for use at trade shows and conferences. We ended up using them everyday around the office because of the high quality and realism. They get comments all the time.
I've never left a negative feedback in my life but I just had to on this one occasion. The mat in the photo makes it appear like it has a bevel to it and grooves. The mat is quite flat in reality and it looks like they just picked a font and printed it onto a surface. It's my mistake to have assumed they would have a mat that has grooves and bevels like that of a real manhole but the pic they advertise gives you that false impression. The mat is super thin, but I can live with that.
As stated I bought this for my now 34 yr old son to share a special childhood memory. Thank You Uncommon Goods. Love your store products because they are UNCOMMON!!!

I think I would pass on this item. I thought it would be substantial in weight but it is flimsy and curls up so it won't lay flat. Looks cheap. The rubber backing is less than ¼ of an inch. I am really upset I bought this item.
We have this doormat on our front porch, we're not sure how it will handle to MT weather and foot traffic, we'll find out. It does look pretty darn cool!
I put this by my front door in the hallway. It looks great but it's very thin and frayed at the edge.
words because they are required
Used for decoration.
This is a unique and well done mat .. If you don't expect to put this in a heavy traffic area it's great ! It is thin and flat ( it appears to be dimensional) and probably won't wear well with muddy boots erc. but it looks fabulous in the gym in front of the door and is a great conversation piece ! The lettering looks like it belongs and was there for 50 years ! My husband loved it ! I don't recommend this for outdoor use no matter what weather you live in ...
Would use it more for novelty decor than as a real door mat.
