Hi,
As the world was making history, so was your family, generation after generation. Bringing the two together is Jennifer Berlinger's unique take on the family tree. For this timeless illustrated print, your family members' names and details are incorporated into the leaves of the tree and intertwined with a timeline of milestone events, from the invention of the phonograph to the one-millionth electric car sold. The result is a creative keepsake for history fans proud of their one-of-a-kind roots. Features up to five generations (children through great-grandparents) and 150 years of family history, starting as early as 1800. The timeline of historic milestones on the side will remain the same for any family. Printed and framed in Portland, Oregon.

Jennifer Berlinger was inspired to create this art after her children found fossils while vacationing in England. Unable to find a "tree of life" that would help them understand what they had found and its place in earth's history, they decided to create their own. The summer day project turned into two years of research! Wanting to show the beauty of the science, they combined the family's interest in antique prints with Jennifer's background in graphic design and watercolors.

Comments about UncommonGoods Personalized Family Tree - Histories Intertwined:
If I could rate lower I would. I ordered this so it would come a week before my father's birthday as a nice personalized present. I had even paid for quicker shipping just to be safe. Well, I needed to add a few things after he first proof came in and did everything I was supposed to. I'd have even understood if it was a day or two late. The artist didn't contact me again with a revised one for TWO WEEKS, and that's only because I harassed customer service. Well, by that point I'd paid over $300 for a present with no result and when the shoddy new proof came in with dates missing I accepted out of pure desperation. Never again. It was a cute idea, but not worth the headache. If I just wanted a few leaves with some names printed on them I'll do it myself next time.
