This was a thank you gift to a teacher. I filled it with felt tip markers and pixie sticks. Our card said thanks for "sticking out" the year with us. It was adorable and the teacher loved it. Of course it was something she had not received before. I did have to ball up a Kleenex in the bottom hole so the pens wouldn't fall out. I would definitely recommend this as a gift or a cute office decor.

I thought it would be smaller, or the holes would at least be big enough to hold pens. But the holes really only hold pencils and the whole thing is just bigger than I thought it would be. Since my mom can't use it for her pens, she's going to make it into a planter. Think twice before buying, and make sure it fits your needs.

Comments about UncommonGoods Percy the Pencil Porcupine:

I don't know this girl personally (they live out of state) and the relationship is new, so it was difficult finding the right gift. This is cute, and not the usual "teacher gift". It will offer a little decoration for her desk, as well as providing those #2 pencils that kids "forget" on test day. I included a couple of packs of colorful #2 pencils, so it will be complete!

Comments about UncommonGoods Percy the Pencil Porcupine:

I bought this for my mother in law because she is an avid colored pencil artist and she LOVES it. She said it makes her smile every time she goes into the kitchen and sees her porcupine smiling at her. She said it was one of the cutest gifts she's been given. Great fun present!
The only issue is there is a hole on the bottom of the little guy so if you lift him up to move him all the pencils fall thru the hole. So, we put a piece of tape over it and problem solved.

Comments about UncommonGoods Percy the Pencil Porcupine:

After I got the color pencils in it I went to move it and so many of the pencils ended up on the floor. I didn't realize there was a hole in the bottom. Wish there was a removable plug there. I will stuff something in it, such as small cotton ball or Kleenex, in case I have to get in it to remove something.
