This is a beautiful piece and my husband loves it. However, the court doesn't always pop out, sometimes it remains in the bottle so it can be pulled out, but other times the cork is stuck on the corkscrew. That part is frustrating. How can this be resolved?

As noted in other reviews, the corkscrew mechanism only works occasionally. If the cork isn't seated in the bottle perfectly the screw either pushes the cork into the bottle or it spins and only partially removes it. Haven't tried it with synthetic corks yet. Most other "permanent mount" corkscrews grasp the neck of the bottle. This one does not. I have a block of wood to place under the bottle so the downward force of the screw is not a problem. This comes with some hardware for mounting directly into sheet rock. I don't think that's a good idea. I got longer screws and attached it to a stud.

Two required items to make this work. Upside: looks gorgeous in our French country kitchen. Just need a real opener on hand.
It was exactly as advertised

Fun piece on the wall but does not operate as easily as discussed. Have to have some strength to operate
Works like it should. Awkward holding bottom of bottle and keeping pressure up while pulling lever. Someone who is clumsy might get a little frustrated. Great conversation piece and looks cool too.
It is a bold, beautifully made piece!
Looks great, but useless as an opener. Pushed the cork I to the bottle everytime. If there is a secret to getting this to work right, would have been nice to include it in the package. Following the pdf instructions here didn't result in anything but another pushed in cork. Would NOT recommend.

Great looks works well so far
VERY NICE TO HAVE TO OPEN WINE BOTTLES; HOWEVER, IT IS RATHER BULKY AND AWKWARD TO USE. PLACEMENT (HOW HIGH/LOW YOU PLACE IT) MAKES IT EITHER VERY AWKWARD TO USE TO A BIT EASIER. ONCE WE GOT THE HANG OF IT, IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY.
