Michael Marino and Jorge Moret have created a modern family business inspired by the kitchen wizardry of Michael's matriarch, Nonna Carolina. She brings to the Brooklyn-based brand her recipes from Calabria, “the oldest and spiciest Italian region.” Michael and Jorge bring both their business acumen and a love for the Slow Food movement. They source their ingredients from local and regional farmers, and avoid the additives, GMOs, flavorings, and preservatives that you find in most supermarket sauces. The result is pure deliciousness, crafted with love, just like Nonna used to make.
