A Garden in the Kitchen

At their small studio in Falmouth, Kentucky, Paul and Yael Borian sit down to the potter's wheel. They spin and work the wet blocks of clay, transforming it into bowls that look remarkably like a flower in full bloom. The pieces are then glazed with rich navies, browns, and hints of gold, giving them the same one-of-a-kind color as a real blossom. Use the stunning set of three in your kitchen as stand-alone decor, to serve party fare, or to store fruit. The bowls make a unique wedding or housewarming gift, filling your loved one's kitchen with a touch of outdoor beauty. Handmade in Falmouth, Kentucky.

Due to the handmade nature of this item, each is unique and will vary.

location

Kentucky

Paul and Yael Borian came to pottery in very different ways. In 1999, Paul was living above a small ceramics studio. He fell for the art of sculpting and, after moving to rural Kentucky, decided to build a studio in his garage. Yael has loved art since childhood. When she graduated from high school in Israel, she took a photography class and shortly began working as an events photographer. She visited Paul's studio in 2014, and the rest was history. Today, the duo creates unique ceramics with meticulous details and one-of-a-kind glazes. They continue to grow and expand their styles, trying new sculpting and glazing techniques. You can find Paul and Yael at their potter's wheel, mixing glazes, or firing up the kiln in Falmouth, Kentucky.
