E is for Electromagnetic

Geek up the nursery with artist Tiffany Ard's hilarious and brilliant flashcards for your little nerd-to-be.

The complete set of 26 alphabet cards teaches young scientists their ABCs. A is for Atom! H is for Hydrogen bonding! While this set of 12 illustrated number cards will help your baby count to ten while teaching them physics, astronomy, biology, chemistry botany, classical music, geography and math. Guaranteed to amaze and horrify other people whose babies only know lame stuff like animal names.

Cards are printed with vegetable inks, laminated and come in a handy canvas bag for safekeeping. Made in USA.

Please note in the number flashcard deck, the #8 card has the #8 printed over the #9 intentionally to represent the controversy over Pluto losing its status as the 9th planet.

By junior high, Tiffany Ard was a self-identified nerd. "I was too afraid of being hit by a ball to do sports, too shy to be a theater kid, too unpopular to be one of the popular kids," says the illustrator and science enthusiast. "The kids I spent time with liked writing stories and inventing languages and pretending to be time travelers." When she had a child of her own, Tiffany realized there were plenty of toys designed to make tots smart and successful—but dorky for the sheer fun of it? Not so much. Her Nerdy Baby line fills the (cosmic) void. "The best gifts invite open-ended play and make kids feel empowered to experiment fearlessly," she notes. "If they happen to learn some fun science facts, all the better."

Very Cute

My sister in law gave me a gift card for Uncommon Goods, and I used it for these cute ABC science cards. I plan to use them as my baby gets older to teach her the alphabet, but also to help myself think of science questions of the day (I'm a science teacher).

I bought these for my son's 4th Birthday. He loves to go through them. We've ended up on wiki or in the dictonary...or drawing with just about every use. I suggest you buy these! Oh they are grand!

So Nerdy!

I purchased these to use on postcard shelves in my daughter's room. They are nerdy enough for this former scientist and I can't wait for her to say C is for Cell Membrane! The quality is very high and worth every penny.

These cards are fun and interesting. Gave them to my brother's daughters who are precocious three- year-olds.

a little too advanced but fun

4

I thought these were nice but a little too advanced for a flash card age range...my kids think the Alpha Cards by He's All Boy are funnier and the are more age appropriate in nature.

These are great

These cards are great. Not only do they assist in learning that written numbers represent a quanity, they also open a door for a more detailed conversation on math/science concepts when a child is older.
