Faryn Davis has long been fascinated by nature's everyday masterpieces—bird nests, feathers, moss, bones, twigs. Growing up on a North Carolina farm, she had ample opportunity to collect such tiny treasures, which inspire her work to this day. Her work combines painted scenes with natural found specimens and clear resin. Each piece is individually hand painted with toothpicks, brushes, and pens, embedded in layers of resin, then cut and polished into delicate, dreamlike 3-D landscapes. Faryn lives in Asheville and creates her wearable paintings in her home studio with her husband, Eli, and son, Milo Gray.
